History of Establishment
The IAIO was established in 1976 (1355 AH). Its initial goal was to create the necessary infrastructure for self-sufficiency in the aviation industry and to reduce reliance on foreign countries. After the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and particularly following widespread international sanctions, the organization shifted its focus towards developing indigenous technologies and empowering the domestic aviation industry.
