Sahand 3 Portable Air-Defense Missile Weapon System is used to attack flying targets with an infrared source that is visible to the naked eye. It is designed for low-altitude tail-on or head-on attacks in specific cases. The missile can be shoulder-launched in various locations, including open-area trenches, water surfaces, marshlands, building roofs, and vehicles moving on flat roads at speeds lower than 20km/h.
