The multi-purpose sea going vessel is suitable for operating in harbors and in the open sea. The main objective of the vessel is to participate in oil spill recovery operations. The main oil recovery system will be a built-in system. The vessel will also be equipped with facilities to restrict and extinguish fire. This vessel can fuel over the sea surface or other ships on fire and is capable of supporting search and rescue operations (SAR). The vessel will be capable of supporting DPS (Dynamic Positioning System) and helicopter hovering deck arrangement.
The Multi-purpose Oil Recovery Vessel complying with the requirements of Classification Society Standards for operating in coastal areas and open seas is eligible for the assignment as an “Oil Recovery Vessel” service. The hull with solid framing is capable of withstanding all the berthing loads. The interior space accommodates 22 crews. The wheelhouse with ample windows provides good visibility for the captain during all kinds of operations. The large work-deck area with suitable strength and a marine crane is designed for oil recovery.
